The Angler’s Rest (Healy’s)
The Angler’s Rest (Healy’s), is located in Glenamoy (25 minutes west of Ballycastle) is a cosy traditional Irish pub with a warm and friendly welcome for all patrons. Live music in the lounge and the dance hall.
The Angler’s Rest or Healy’s is located along the R314 in Goola, Glenamoy just a 25 minute drive west of Ballycastle. The Angler’s Rest is run by Michael and Bernie McAndrew. Accommodation is available over a traditional Irish pub. There is always a cosy, warm, friendly atmosphere in The Angler’s Rest.
The nearby Glenamoy river is renowned for its stocks of salmon and sea trout. It has very rich spawning grounds on the upper section of the river, and it is classed as a late river, meaning that fishing goes on up to early October. Therefore The Angler’s Rest is a popular destination for those interested in angling.
