How do I enter?

I have registered online, where do I collect my race pack?

You can collect your race pack on Friday, September 20th between 6pm and 9pm, and before the race on Saturday 21st September between 8am and 11am at Ballycastle Community Hall.

What time do the races start?

The Céide Coast Atlantic Run will start at 12pm and the 10k at 12:20pm.

Where is the start and finish?

The Céide Coast Atlantic Run will start from the Céide Fields Visitor Centre and will finish in Ballycastle village at the Community Hall.

How do I get to the start line?

Coaches will be available on the day to transport all runners to the start line.

Where do I park?

There will be ample car parking in the village. Please do show consideration for residents by not blocking driveways or entry/exit routes.

Is there somewhere I can drop my bag?

Yes, your race pack will contain stickers with your race number on it. There will be two drops point that you can use - Ballycastle Community Hall and the Céide Field Visitor Centre. Please attach sticker to your bag in advance and leave at the drop points and you can collect your bags at the Ballycastle Community Hall at the end of the race (bags left in Céide Fields will be transported back to Ballycastle Community Hall where you can collect them after the race).

Are there prizes for the winners?

Yes!

Half Marathon - The first two men and the first two women past the finish line will receive a cash prize. We also have trophies for the 1st Male and Female in the following categories: Over 40’s, over 50's, over 60’s, over 70's and first overseas runner home.

10k - The first male and female past the finish line will receive a cash prize. There will be trophies for second and third places and categories.

Will there be pacers at the event?

Yes there will be pacers for 1:45, 2:00, 2:15 and 2:30 present at the Half Marathon.

Is the Céide Coast Atlantic Run course marked in miles or kilometres?

The course is marked in miles.

 Is the 10k course marked in miles or kilometres?

The 10k course is marked in kilometres.

Will there be a timing chip supplied to each runner?

Yes, you will receive this at registration. The chip will provide you with an accurate finish time. The results will be available on the chip timing company’s website shortly after the event.

Have the Céide Coast Atlantic Run courses been accurately measured?

The course have been measured by a qualified course measurer and the event is licensed by the Athletics Association of Ireland.

Will there be water stations on the course?

Yes, there will be water stations at various intervals throughout the course.

Will I receive a medal?

All finishers in each race will receive a specially designed Céide Coast Atlantic Run medal at the finish line.

Is the course safe?

The course is marshalled for your safety and the majority of the roads will have good surface to run on. Some of the roads will be open to traffic, so please be aware of road safety when running. ipods or similar devices are not advised as your road awareness is compromised.

What facilities are available at the start and finish line?

There are toilet facilities at the start and at the finish line. Water is available both on the route and after the run. There are first aiders and ambulance services on the route for your well-being. 

When and where will the prize ceremony take place?

The prize ceremonies will take place after the races finishes. The prizes will be awarded at an estimated time of 3pm at Ballycastle Community Hall.

Will there be refreshments available?

There will be complimentary refreshments and snacks supplied at the Community Hall for runners and supporters.

Is there a virtual race option?

Yes! You can run the race “virtually” in another location. Just register as normal and select the Virtual entry. Make sure to provide an accurate address so we can get your medal to you!
