“Challenging, but in a good way.”

One of my favorite races yet, even with the rain and wind. The course is challenging but in a good way. Well marked and the organizers and marshals did an amazing job. The locals even turned out in the rain to cheer us on. All in the hidden gem of County Mayo.

Well done to the organisers for a great event. Despite the rain it was one of my favourite events all year. Medal and t-shirt are lovely. Will be back next year!

“Great day out despite the weather”

Very well organized, great route and a lovely spread at the end. Also have to mention the two hour pacers who were amazing and got me over that line just under the two hour mark. Three minutes off the last half I did. Great day out despite the weather.

“Warm welcome”

Very well organised, warm welcome, good route (although second half is tough), lots of pacers, community hall to get changed with bathrooms etc. Really enjoyed it

“Ballycastle is on the running map!”

Brilliant course and stewarding and overall organization was very impressive. Will definitely come back again and would recommend the half marathon to club runners, fun runners and anyone training for Dublin Marathon as it's the perfect test race a few weeks before the marathon. The medal and t-shirt were really high quality and race entry was great value for money. The after race party and live music in Healy's was top class too! Well done to the organisers and volunteers. Ballycastle is on the running map now!

“It was absolutely worth it”

Thanks everyone involved with the Céide Coast events. I won free entry six weeks ago when I had no plan to do a half marathon and when I looked out at the rain yesterday it wasn’t very inviting! But it was absolutely worth it. Top class in every way, really well organised and marshalled, friendly people, loads of lovely food, nice medal and t-shirt and stunning scenery. The rain and crashing waves almost made it more enjoyable. Lovely to talk to runners who had travelled long distances to enjoy the Wild Atlantic Way scenery and Ballycastle hospitality.
